BABU and SC2KR get top reviews in Vanish Magazine.

Proud to have not one but two fabulous reviews in the top two places in Vanish Magazines latest reviews for Babu and SC2KR! Even Ringo hanky got an awesome mention too!

another fab review in the latest edition of vanish magazine for our popular out to dinner

Here is what it says

MY THOUGHTS: by Pay Romhany

The effect involves a borrowed ring or small object that vanishes, only to reappear inside a series of nested leather pouches—sometimes with an additional reveal inside a sealed envelope. The pouches themselves are well-made, with a tactile elegance that adds to the mystery of the effect. The routine requires little sleight of hand, making it accessible even to those new to magic. This simplicity lets the trick focus on presentation, with minimal risk of error in execution.

Having used other nest of wallet type effects I can easily say this is the best borrowed object, key or ring, to nest of wallets I've seen and used. The first thing you will notice is the quality of material from the nest of wallets to the material used for vanishing the ring.

The leather is elegant and something you'll be proud to own. It looks more like something you'd keep coins in and doesn’t' look out of the ordinary.

The Wallets: What makes this different than other versions is the load and how it is cleverly hidden within the leather envelopes or pouches. There are some clever nuances built in to this that really throws anybody off. One of the things I discovered is I can give the pouches to

a spectator to open without them discovering the secret. It is so well made and there are some clever ideas built into the wallet with the stitching that really hide the secret.

You have several options with these wallets. You are supplied with small envelopes, which you can re-use without destroying them each time, that can be used instead of the smaller leather wallet. This is a variation because you could use all three leather wallets and have the ring come out of the smaller one. I must prefer this over any Ring Flight because you are in full control of the borrowed ring and there is no way it can fly away or land on the floor.

This is the way I like to perform it because of how easy it is to reset. This goes in my pocket, and I am ready to go anytime, anywhere. You can borrow anything small that will fit in from

a signed coin to a folded card even. Obviously, a finger ring is perfect and used with the special vanishing ring hanky supplied makes the perfect trick.

This is easy to use and well within the range of most level of performers. While this makes the perfect walk-about trick you can easily do this in platform situations.

Very Highly recommended.

RINGO HANKY - By Paul Romhany

BABU comes with what I would consider the biggest breakthrough in method for vanishing

a ringer ring with a cloth. I've not only been using this method, but I've seen the creator Ari Phillips do this for some of the biggest names in magic and all of them were fooled by it. Forget everything you know about the old idea of having a ring in the corner of a hanky because this doesn't use this method. This is the cleanest version and easiest method out there. If you were to really borrow a finger ring and place it in the middle of a hanky and have somebody hold it, this is what it should look like. You grab any corner and the ring vanishes. Not that you'd do this BUT you could have the spectator feel all around the hanky and they won't feel anything in there. The method is diabolical, and it is all built in to the special hanky. It's a nice read cloth that easily folds and can go in your pocket. As a combination with Babu, you have the best vanishing ring to impossible location on the market.

The tutorial is easy to follow, it is short, but they have added a few additions which will help save some time on the envelope.

SC2KR (Signed Card to Keyring) by GRUM

Another high-quality product from Grum. This one is something you can always carry with you as it attaches to your key ring and is ready to go at any time. Made from leather this is a special tool that will allow you to visibly swap a folded card for another. You aren't just limited to a chosen playing card, you can also use this for a confabulation style routine. The method is very clever and built into the special leather gimmick. It is so easy to do, and you can do this slowly and nobody will notice the switch.

You receive the special leather gimmick, three cards which you can easily change, and a tutorial link. The box this comes in is very sturdy and will protect your investment when travelling so make sure you keep it.

The tutorial is 20 minutes, and Ari goes through everything you'll need to know including how to do a mercury fold. There are numerous ways you can do this including Dan Harlan's favorite way where a spectator holds the key ring in their hands, and you reach over and take the card out. It looks amazing and so natural.

I've seen Ari do this with an amazing confabulation routine. If you are familiar with confabulation then you will know how to work this, if not then you can buy the full routine with all parts involved direct from Grum which include SC2KR and Out to Diner Pro. It's a clever combination and an idea walk-about mentalism routine.

This is well within the reach of everybody who does card magic, ideal for any close-up or walk-around gig. You can always carry this with you and it's a great stand-alone piece of combined with something like an Ambitious card routine as a finale.

Very highly recommended.
